Product Overview

The MPU6000 DEV BOARD is an development board for MPU-6000 and MPU6050, a 6-axis motion processing IC that eliminates the package level gyro/accel cross axis misalignment associated with discrete solutions. The devices combine a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer on the same silicon die together with an onboard digital motion processor (DMP) capable of processing complex 9-axis motion fusion algorithms. The parts integrated 9-axis motion fusion algorithms access external magnetometers or other sensors through an auxiliary master I2C bus, allowing the devices to gather a full set of sensor data without intervention from the system processor. MPU-6000 supports SPI at up to 20MHz, in addition to I2C, and has a single supply pin, VDD, which is both the devices logic reference supply and the analog supply for the part.
  • Digital output of 6 axis or 9 axis motion fusion data in rotation matrix, quaternion, euler angle
  • Tri axis angular rate sensor with a sensitivity up to 131LSBs/dps
  • Tri axis accelerometer with a programmable full scale range of ±2g, ±4g, ±8g and ±16g
  • Digital output temperature sensor
  • Embedded algorithms for run time bias and compass calibration. No user intervention required
  • Digital input on FSYNC pin to support video electronic image stabilization and GPS
  • Gyro operating current 3.6mA (full power, gyro at all rates)
  • On chip timing generator with ±1% frequency variation over full temperature range
  • User self test
  • 5µA full chip idle mode supply current
