AD9952 is a direct digital synthesizer (DDS) featuring a 14bit DAC (digital-to-analogue converter) and operating up to 400MSPS. This uses advanced DDS technology, coupled with an internal high speed, high performance DAC to form a digitally programmable, complete high frequency synthesizer capable of generating a frequency-agile analogue output sinusoidal waveform at up to 200MHz. It is designed to provide fast frequency hopping and fine tuning resolution (32bit frequency tuning word). The frequency tuning and control words are loaded into this via a serial I/O port. Typical applications are agile LO frequency synthesis, programmable clock generators, test and measurement equipment, acousto-optic device drivers.

- Duty cycle is 50% typ (25°C, AVDD, DVDD=1.8V ± 5%, DVDD-I/O=3.3V ± 5%, DAC-RSET=3.92Kohm)
- Gain error is +10%FS max (25°C, AVDD, DVDD=1.8V ± 5%, DVDD-I/O=3.3V ± 5%, DAC-RSET=3.92Kohm)
- 48-lead thin quad flat package, exposed pad [TQFP-EP]
- Temperature rating range from –40°C to +105°C
