HMC698LP5E is a frequency synthesizer with a wideband reversible polarity digital PFD and lock detect output. High frequency operation along with ultra low phase noise floor make possible synthesizers with wide loop bandwidth and low N resulting in fast settling and very low phase noise. When used in conjunction with a differential loop filter, the HMC698LP5(E) can be used to phase lock a VCO to a reference oscillator. Typical Application includes satellite communication systems, point-to-point radios, military applications, sonet clock generation.

- Maximum reference input frequency is 1300MHz (TA = +25°C, min, sine or square wave input)
- Reference input power range from -5 to 5dBm (TA = +25°C, 100MHz frequency)
- Maximum VCO input frequency is 7000MHz (TA = +25°C, Vcc = Vcc1 = Vcc2 = Vcc3 = Vcc-pd = 5V)
- VCO input power range from -10 to +5dBm (100MHz input frequency, TA = +25°C)
- PFD output voltage is 2000mV, Pk - Pk (typ, TA = +25°C)
- PFD gain is 0.32V/Rad. (typ, Gain = Vpp / 2π Rad, TA = +25°C)
- Total supply current is 310mA (typ, TA = +25°C, Vcc = Vcc1 = Vcc2 = Vcc3 = Vcc-pd = 5V)
- 32 lead QFN package, operating temperature range from -40 to +85°C
