MAX20355EWO+ is a MAX20355 series power line communication (PLC) with ModelGauge™ m5 EZ fuel gauge and buck boost converter. This provides a complete system solution for charging and data transfer between a charging case and a battery powered device over a single contact. The PLC interface is capable of 100kpbs throughput while simultaneously providing 400mA of total charging/system current. A 4Mbaud half-duplex data only UART mode provides an easy and fast method for firmware updates, debugging interface, and factory modes. It utilizes a 3.3W buck-boost converter with dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) to automatically manage the charging voltage. Additional features include moisture detection, overcurrent protection, and 8kV contact rated ESD protection on the PLC outputs. Applications include TWS headphones, augmented reality glasses, wearable devices.
