The MAX291ESA+ is an 8th order low pass switched capacitor butterworth filter in 8 pin NSOIC package. It provides maximally flat passband response. This filter has fixed responses so the design task is limited to selecting clock frequency that controls filter’s corner frequency. An external capacitor is used to generate clock using internal oscillator or an external clock signal can be used. An uncommitted operational amplifier (non inverting input grounded) is provided for building a continuous time low pass filter for post filtering or anti aliasing. The MAX291 delivers very aggressive performance from a tiny area requiring a minimum of external components. This device is used in ADC anti aliasing filtering, noise analysis, DAC post filtering and 50Hz/60Hz line noise filtering.

- Clock tuneable corner frequency range from 0.1Hz to 25KHz
