PVT212SPBF is a PVT212 series single-pole, surface-mount, normally-open, HEXFET® power MOSFET photovoltaic relay. This solid-state relay can replace electromechanical relays in many applications. It utilizes International Rectifier’s proprietary HEXFET power MOSFET as the output switch, driven by an integrated circuit photovoltaic generator of novel construction. The output switch is controlled by radiation from a GaAlAs light-emitting diode (LED) which is optically isolated from the photovoltaic generator. It is specifically designed for industrial control and peripheral telecom applications. Typical applications are control of AC (up to 90VAC) industrial loads, control of DC industrial loads up to +/-120VDC, and telecom line switching.

• Solid-state reliability, UL recognized
• Minimum dielectric strength (input-output) is 4000VRMS at TA = +25°C
• Minimum insulation resistance (input-output) is 10^12ohm at TA = +25°C
• Ambient operating temperature range from -40 to +85°C
• Maximum reverse voltage is 6V at TA = +25°C
• 6-lead DIP package
