NCD57085 is a high current single channel IGBT gate driver with 2.5KVrms internal galvanic isolation designed for high system efficiency and reliability in high power applications. The driver includes current sense function with soft turn off and fault reporting in a narrow body SOIC-8 package. NCD57085 accommodates wide range of input bias voltage and signal levels from 3.3V to 20V and wide range of output bias voltage up to 30V. Typical applications include motor control, automotive applications, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), industrial power supplies, HVAC, industrial pumps and fans, PTC heater.
- High peak output current (+7A/−7A)
- Low output impedance for enhanced driving, short propagation delays with accurate matching
- IGBT overcurrent protection, negative voltage (down to −9V) capability for CS pin
- IGBT gate clamping during short circuit, IGBT gate active pull down
- Soft turn off during IGBT overcurrent, tight UVLO thresholds for bias flexibility
- Output partial pulse avoidance during UVLO/CS (restart)
- 3.3V, 5V and 15V logic input, 2.5KVrms galvanic isolation
- High transient immunity, high electromagnetic immunity
