The Startech IDE2SAT2 is a simple and effective 40-pin IDE to SATA adaptor that enables you to connect a SATA hard drive to an available IDE/ATA motherboard port. The adaptor provides a cost effective solution that allows you to add newer SATA drives to your system while keeping your existing motherboard. The adaptor also features ODD (Optical Disk Drive) support, allowing you to a add Blu-ray, DVD or CD-ROM drives to an older IDE motherboard.
- Compact adaptor that provides SATA connectivity for legacy IDE motherboards
- Connect a SATA I/II/III drive to an available IDE/ATA 33/66/100/133 motherboard port
- Supports 2.5/3.5/5.25" SATA devices including optical disk drives
- No additional hardware required, includes an LP4 to SP4 internal power cable
- OS independent, no drivers or software required
