Product Overview
AD8317 is a demodulating logarithmic amplifier, capable of accurately converting an RF input signal to a corresponding decibel-scaled output. It employs the progressive compression technique over a cascaded amplifier chain, each stage of which is equipped with a detector cell. The device can be used in either measurement or controller modes. Typical application includes RF transmitter, PA set point control and level monitoring, power monitoring in radio link transmitters, RSSI measurement in base stations, WLANs, WIMAX, and radars.
- Wide bandwidth is 1MHz to 10GHz
- High accuracy: ±1dB over temperature
- 55dB dynamic range up to 8GHz ±3dB error
- Stability over temperature: ±0.5dB
- Low noise measurement/controller output, VOUT
- Pulse response time is 6ns/10ns (fall/rise)
- Single supply range from 3V to 5.5V at 22mA
- Fabricated using high speed SiGe process
- 8 lead LFCSP-EP package
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
