Product Overview
ADL5304 is a high speed logarithmic converter with fast response and low noise over a 200dB (1pA to 10mA) measurement range. The ADL5304 provides a nominal logarithmic slope of 10mV/dB(200 m V/decade ) other values are easily configured. Logarithmic intercept can be programmed over a wide range with the internal 100nA current source or externally for log ratio applications. Typical application includes high accuracy optical power measurement, wide range baseband log compression and versatile detector for high speed APC loops.
- Optimized for very fast response at all input currents
- Overall bandwidth of <gt/>4MHz for inputs <gt/>1µA and bandwidth is 25KHz at input of 1nA and 350KHz at 10nA
- 10 decade s of input range is 1pA to 10mA
- Law conformance of ±0.25dB from 100pA to 100µA
- Log ratio or fixed -intercept operation and default log slope of 10mV/dB at VLOG pin
- Precision voltage references and reference current
- Adaptive photodiode (PD) bias for low dark current and programmable log slope and intercept
- Single or dual supply operation
- 32 lead LFCSP-EP package
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
